What you’re telling me is that by preventing normal people from accessing professional grade information you are protecting THEIR jobs? That doesn’t track for me. Aren’t the professions affected already the most highly gatekept? What are they going to do next, ban medical textbooks from libraries and stop self representation in court? My gut is that this is more than a fear response and slightly less than a conspiracy- it is politicians playing politics with the lives of their constituents. Also I always see a vein of insurance providers attempting to protect their turf however that is a conversation for another time…
