Thank you for this outstanding piece. It explains a crucial governance issue in terms that are legible to normal voters. I have two questions about rhetorical style:
1. Are the shout-outs to “Silicon Valley’s startup ethos” an effective tactic for rallying CA swing voters? My prior is that they are not, but I may be mistaken. 2. Are you generally coordinating with a mechanism such as Blue Rose Research’s polling and analysis of messaging? It can be extremely difficult for well-informed, motivated people such as G.L. members to guess what will resonate with the low-information, cross-pressured, low-motivation voters who tip the balance in many elections.
Who is pushing for the ballots for the Janus decision? Where can people vote for it? It would be great if you could share this as part of the article - it would make it much easier for people to take action.
